April V. Pearson, Esq.
After enjoying a diverse practice of law as general counsel to the Agricultural Division of Unocal 76 for thirteen years, April V. Pearson formed her own law firm, Avrilex. She currently advises agribusiness and nonprofit clients on corporate structure, stock transactions, real estate purchases and sales, mergers and acquisitions, copyright, trademark, environmental regulatory compliance and overall guidance for the agricultural and chemical industries.
Prior to her employment with Unocal, Ms. Pearson served as an intern with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency enforcing fishing limits and international fishing treaties and as an extern to U.S. District Court Judge Consuelo B. Marshall. She is trained as an emergency Hazmat responder and is a certified member of an industrial fire brigade. In 2008 and 2010 she chaired the Agribusiness Committee of the California State Bar which focuses on legal issues that affect the agricultural, dairy and ranching industries and was editor of the
Agricultural Law Source Book.
April is licensed to practice law in Arizona, California, Idaho, Washington and the District of Columbia.
